Icod de los Vinos Bee Farm Tour

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Ecoalpispa bee farm, located in the municipality of Icod de los Vinos. The visit will start with an introduction at the bee farm's museum, explaining all the stages involved in honey production, from the hive to the packaging.

The tour will cover the typical vegetation of Tenerife and how the nectar of the island's flowers influences the different honey aromas. Following this, we'll visit the workshop, honey extraction room, and laboratory, showing how each area operates before allowing time to visit the bee farm's shop.

Next, we will proceed to the tasting room to sample several types of honey and discuss the protected Miel de Tenerife denomination of origin while enjoying the different varieties. After an hour and a half visit, the tour will conclude at the Ecoalpispa bee farm.

Visit to the bee farm & beehives

If you choose to extend your experience at the Ecoalpispa bee farm, the visit will last two and a half hours. This option includes honey tasting, museum access, and allows you to get up close to the hives and the bees. On the way, there will be views of Teide.

In this extended option, you will wear beekeeper suits to observe how bees are cared for and learn about their daily activities in honey production.
