What is the Parque del Drago?

Parque del Drago (Drago Park) spans 3 hectares and features the enormous Dragon tree, one of the oldest on the island, standing 16 meters (52 ft) tall.

Learn about the history of this natural and cultural symbol of the Canary Islands and discover the local flora found in Tenerife, including small dragos, cardones, and tabaibas. While strolling through the park, enjoy the backdrop of the Teide volcano.

Explore the legends and customs of the region by visiting an old winery and an ancient sacred cave.

Opening hours

The Parque del Drago opens every day of the week. The opening hours vary by season:

1 April – 30 September: from 9am until 8pm.1 October – 31 March: from 10am until 6pm.
