Porto Flavia Mine Guided Tour

On this guided tour of the Porto Flavia mines, you'll learn about one of the significant mining sites in southern Sardinia, alongside views of Masua Beach.

Tour Description

We will meet at the Porto Cauli Beach car park at the designated time to start our journey to the Porto Flavia mine, one of the notable locations in Sardinia.

The tour includes a walk along Masua Beach and the old 1915 pier, located about one kilometre (just over half a mile) from the mining site. Prepare to explore this unique mining site with views of the Mediterranean.

Upon entering the main mine shaft, we will walk for approximately one hour with a tour guide, who will provide insights on the mine's impact on the local economy and details about its construction.

Halfway through the tour, participants will have the opportunity to climb a balcony for views of the sea and the Sugarloaf Isle (Pan di Zucchero). This spot is ideal for photography.

After concluding the tour of the Porto Flavia mine, we will return to the starting point and conclude the experience after approximately 2 and a half hours.
