If you want to learn to be an autonomous diver in a paradise like Ilhabela, this NAUI Open Water Diver course is the ideal choice! Once completed, you'll be able to dive anywhere in the world!

NAUI Open Water Diving Course in Ilhabela

You can do the NAUI Open Water diving course in 4 consecutive days or split it up into 2 weekends. The training includes both a theoretical and practical part, each lasting 16 hours.

Day 1: Theory

The first day is dedicated to learning the basic concepts necessary for a good diver. You can choose to attend theory classes virtually for 4 days (4 hours per day) or in person at the dive center in Ilhabela, where everything will be taught in 1 day.

Day 2: Confined Waters Practice & Test

In the morning, practice will take place in the dive center's pool for confined waters. In the afternoon, there will be a practical test to demonstrate your skills.

Days 3 & 4: Open Water Dives

On the third day, we will perform 2 dives at a depth of 59 ft (18 meters) in open water to apply what was learned during the course. On the fourth day, we will conduct 2 additional dives. If the instructor deems you ready to dive independently, you will receive the NAUI Open Water international certificate, allowing you to dive globally without needing a professional diver's accompaniment!
