Description
Between 8 and 8:40, we'll pick you up at your hotel, and at 9, we'll begin this guided tour of Ilhéus, a city famous for its beaches and its rich historical and cultural heritage.
This tour covers locations that inspired the writer Jorge Amado. We will visit the Vesúvio bar and the Bataclan cabaret, known for Amado's work Gabriela, Cravo e Canela.
We'll see the Cathedral of San Sebastian, stopping to admire its neoclassical facade and visit Jorge Amado's House of Culture to learn about his life.
Our last stop will be at the mansion of Colonel Misael Tavares, known as the King of Cocoa. We will discuss his significance and the role of cocoa in the region.
Finally, after four hours, we will conclude the tour by accompanying you back to your hotel.
