Join us for a captivating kayak tour on the Tramandaí River, where we'll paddle through scenic landscapes, observe diverse bird species, and explore the Mysterious Lagoon, home to the elusive caiman.
Imbé River Canoeing Adventure
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Barranco Marina and proceed to the Old Bridge on the Estrada do Mar. Here, we'll board our canoes and prepare for the kayak journey on the Tramandaí River.
Our instructor will brief us on essential safety rules before we set off. We will paddle downstream for a distance of 12 to 15 kilometers (7.5 to 9.3 miles), enjoying views of the Serra Geral mountains and exploring unique plants and wildlife in the region.
Throughout the tour, spot various birds, including cardinals, herons, dry heads, chimangos, caracaras, and possibly spoonbills. A stop for a refreshing swim can be arranged for those seeking more excitement.
After approximately 30 minutes of paddling, we'll reach the Mysterious Lagoon, an area with challenging access home to yacarés overos, a species of crocodile native to South America. We can also take a detour to the Tramandaí bridge, passing riverside mansions in the area.
Concluding our journey, we will return to the starting point, with the tour duration ranging from three to five hours, depending on the group's pace.
