Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour

The Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour begins at 8 am at the Damajagua River Visitor Centre. Participants will drive buggies to explore the Damajagua Waterfalls and the southern part of Puerto Plata. A professional instructor will provide guidance for those unfamiliar with buggy driving.

This tour includes traversing palm groves, farmland, and villages along Dominican jungle trails at high speed. Participants will have opportunities to enjoy fresh coconut drinks, cocktails, or beers and swim in river beaches during the journey.

The route covers between 6 and 9 miles (10 and 15 kilometers) leading to the 27 enchanting Damajagua Waterfalls. Travelers will visit various panoramic viewpoints to take in the scenery. After enjoying a buffet lunch at a local restaurant near the waterfalls, the tour continues through various communities in Puerto Plata. The first stop will be in Bellaco, along the Bajabonico River, to pick fruit, followed by visits to Bajabonico Arriba, Palmar Grande, and Los Felix to observe local life.

The tour concludes after a final swim in the Bajabonico River, returning to the start point by 2 pm.
