The Damajagua Waterfalls Buggy Tour begins at 8 am at the Damajagua River Visitor Centre. Participants will drive buggies to discover the Damajagua Waterfalls while exploring the southern part of Puerto Plata. A professional instructor will provide guidance for those new to driving buggies.
The tour includes high-speed driving through palm groves, farmland, and villages along Dominican jungle trails. Several stops will be made for refreshments, including a fresh coconut drink, a cocktail, or a beer, as well as opportunities to swim in river beaches.
The total distance covered will be between 6 and 9 miles (10 and 15 kilometres), leading to 27 stunning waterfalls that visitors can admire from various panoramic viewpoints. After a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues through communities in Puerto Plata. The first stop will be in Bellaco by the Bajabonico River, where participants can pick fruit. Following this, the tour will visit Bajabonico Arriba, Palmar Grande, and Los Felix to observe local life.
A final swimming stop in the Bajabonico River will conclude the tour, which finishes at 2 pm.
