Day 1: Huaraz - Hatun Machay

We'll collect you from your hotel in Huaraz at the scheduled time to commence this 2-day journey in Hatun Machay, the renowned stone forest of Peru. Our route takes us southward, passing through villages such as Recuay, Ticapam, and Catac before detouring towards the Cordillera Negra. Upon arrival, we'll go through the checkpoint and embark on a 20-minute hike to the captivating stone forest of Hatun Machay, a site designated as Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

As we explore, we'll come across cave paintings, petroglyphs, and remarkable rock formations. We'll equip you for rock climbing in this setting, which features routes varying from 15 to 60 meters (50 - 196 feet) suitable for all skill levels. Your guide will assist you in climbing safely.

After our climbing activities, we'll proceed to the base camp for dinner and overnight camping in tents.

Day 2: Hatun Machay - Huaraz

The following morning, after breakfast, we'll return to the stone forest for another round of climbing. Then we'll head back to the minibus and start our journey to Huaraz, arriving at your hotel around 2 pm.
