Day 1: Huaraz - Hatun Machay

We'll collect you from your hotel in Huaraz at the scheduled time to commence this exhilarating 2-day journey in Hatun Machay, the renowned stone forest of Peru. Our route takes us southward, passing through villages such as Recuay, Ticapam, and Catac before heading towards the Cordillera Negra. Upon arrival, we'll go through the checkpoint and embark on a 20-minute hike to the stone forest of Hatun Machay, a site designated as Cultural Heritage of the Nation.

As we explore this area, we'll encounter cave paintings, petroglyphs, and impressive rock formations. We provide you with equipment for rock climbing, with various routes ranging from 15 to 60 meters (50 - 196 feet) suitable for all skill levels. Your guide will assist you in climbing safely.

After climbing, we'll proceed to the base camp, where we'll have dinner and camp overnight. It's time to rest!

Day 2: Hatun Machay - Huaraz

The next morning, after breakfast, we'll return for another round of climbing. Then, we'll head back to the minibus to begin our journey to Huaraz, where we'll drop you off at your hotel around 2 pm.
