Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping ice-climbing adventure in the Cordillera Blanca on this excursion to Nevado Huarapasca or Ishinca.
Description
When making your reservation, you can choose from the following options available. Both options include hotel pickup and drop-off, a climbing guide, and all the mountain climbing equipment necessary.
1-Day climb at Nevado Huarapasca
Our tour begins with a 3 am pickup, heading towards Catac, the entry point to Nevado Huarapasca. After an hour of hiking, we'll reach the glacier, where the ice-climbing adventure starts. With four hours of climbing, we'll reach the summit and take a break before descending, returning to your hotel in Huaraz around 7 pm.
2-Day climb at Nevado Vallunaraju
This adventure involves a 2 to 3-hour hike to Nevado Vallunaraju. At the end of the day, we'll stay at a base camp at 4,500 meters (14,763 feet). After breakfast on the next day, we'll start a challenging four to five-hour glacier trek. Following a rest, we will return and drop you off at your Huaraz hotel around 1 pm.
3-Day climb at Nevado Ishinca
This option begins with an 8 am hotel pickup, followed by a three-hour hike to set up camp for the night. Day two involves the ascent of Nevado Ishinca, combining hiking and ice-climbing routes, offering views of peaks like Ranrapalca and Tocllaraju. After returning to base camp, we’ll dismantle camp and trek through the gorge, reaching Collón. Finally, hotel drop-off in Huaraz will be around 2 pm.
