Lake 69 Trip
Pick-up from your hotel in Huaraz occurs between 5 and 5:30 am. We will travel by bus to Huascaran National Park, approximately an hour and a half away.
Upon arrival, we will begin a hike, where you will see the area's endemic flora and fauna. Sightings may include puna partridges or Andean condors, which were believed by the Incas to be immortal.
After a 3-hour hike, we will reach Lagoon 69. You will have an hour of free time to explore the area and enjoy lunch (not included). The lake features intense turquoise waters. Be advised, the water temperature is very cold if you choose to swim.
Following our visit, we will return to the park entrance, where the bus will take us back to the hotels.
The estimated return time to Huaraz is 8 pm.
