Exclusive Trekking Excursion to Portachuelo Viewpoint
Your journey begins at 7 am, with a convenient pick-up from your hotel located in Huaraz as we set off towards Huascaran National Park.
Traveling alongside the Santa River, we will navigate to the north of the Callejón de Huaylas. During our route, we will pass significant landmarks, including the Blanca and Negra mountain ranges, the historic town of Yungay submerged by past calamities, and the picturesque Llanganuco ravine. A highlight of our journey will be the stunning views of the Chinancocha and Orconcocha lagoons, collectively recognized as the Llanganuco lagoons.
Upon reaching the Portachuelo viewpoint, we will be rewarded with panoramic vistas of the towering peaks of the Blanca range, featuring notable mountains such as north and south Huascaran, Huandoy, Chopicalqui, Pisco, and Yanapaccha.
Our trekking experience will commence with a 2-hour descent through mountainous terrain. We will take a momentary pause along the trail to rejuvenate and appreciate the beautiful waterfalls that grace the park!
The trek will conclude in Cebollapampa, where a minibus will be ready to transport us back. The entire excursion is expected to wrap up around 5 pm.
