Visit the mountain pass of Jungfraujoch, considered the peak of Europe and declared a World Heritage Site.
Description
We'll meet at 10:45 am at Höheweg, 95. From this central address in Interlaken, we'll travel by bus to the Alpine village of Grindelwald, located at an altitude of 1,034 metres.
Once in Grindelwald, we'll ascend via the Eiger Express cable car to the Glacier Eiger station, followed by a rack train ride to Jungfraujoch, the highest summit in Europe.
Jungfraujoch, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, provides a panorama of the peaks Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. At the top, you'll experience the Alpine Sensation show.
Weather permitting, views from the Sphinx observatory and the Plateau viewpoint are available, showcasing the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe. Additionally, you can explore the tunnels of the Ice Palace.
After approximately 2 hours 30 minutes of free time at Jungfraujoch, we will return by rack train to Lauterbrunnen, then take a bus back to Interlaken, arriving at 5:45 pm.
