Loch Ness and the Highlands Trip

This trip begins in the morning at Railway Terrace in Inverness. Participants will board a vehicle that follows the Caledonia canal to Loch Ness, known for its beauty and the legend of the Loch Ness Monster.

The first stop is Dochgarroch, where attendees can take a boat ride on the Loch, leading to the ruins of the 13th-century Urquhart Castle. After the boat ride, there will be free time to explore the castle and enjoy views across the lake.

Next, the tour proceeds to the village of Invermoriston for a brief pause to photograph the Thomas Telford bridge over the River Moriston waterfalls. Participants will also visit St Columba’s Well, known for its fascinating history and rumored restorative powers.

The tour continues to Fort Augustus, where the guide will lead a tour of the settlement, allowing for an opportunity to enjoy a local meal.

After the meal, the return journey to Inverness begins with a stop at the 165-foot Falls of Foyers for some leg stretching and free time. Finally, there will be a stop in the village of Dores to walk along the lake's east shore and enjoy the views.

The tour concludes back at the meeting point between 8 and 9 hours after the start time.
