If you're looking to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Scottish cliffs, this tour along the Moray Firth Coast is an absolute must. Get ready to discover the charming towns of Portnockie and Cullen, the Troup Head Nature Reserve, and indulge in a whisky distillery experience.

Description

We'll meet at number 15 Union Street in Inverness at the indicated time and leave behind the Highlands capital as we set off towards the Moray Firth, a journey showcasing the wild beauty of Scotland.

Our first stop will be the historic village of Findhorn, near the Moray Firth, where we'll take a leisurely stroll along its beach to experience Scotland's rugged coastal landscapes.

Next, we’ll travel to Portknockie to see the natural arch Bow Fiddle Rock. Continuing, we'll arrive in Cullen, famous for Cullen Skink soup. You'll have free time to explore the town and enjoy this specialty in a traditional restaurant.

Afterwards, we head to the Troup Head Nature Reserve, home to seabirds like puffins. Here, we'll admire the awe-inspiring cliffs, one of the most photographed areas along the Moray Firth coast.

Our final destination is the Speyside whisky distillery, where we’ll witness the production process and partake in a whisky tasting. Before returning to Inverness, we’ll visit Carrbridge, known for its stone bridge, the oldest in the Highlands.

We'll conclude the excursion after 12 hours of exploration, filled with stunning sights and immersive experiences.

Puffin sightings

Puffins are unpredictable creatures, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. The chances of spotting them depend on natural and weather-related factors.

Itinerary Changes

In August and September, the tour itinerary will change. We won't visit Troup Head; instead, we will visit Spey Bay, a coastal reserve with the largest shingle beach in Scotland, excellent for observing wildlife, including dolphins. Additionally, we will see Aberlour, a picturesque village in Speyside on the banks of the River Spey.
