Want to explore two gems of northeast Brazil? With this tour to Recife and Olinda, we'll enjoy the many charms of two cities rich in history and heritage.
Day Trip Details
After picking you up at your hotel in Porto de Galinhas between 7:30 and 8:30 am, we'll head north to Recife, a minibus ride of about an hour and a half.
Our first stop will be at Boa Viagem beach, where you will have some free time for a catamaran ride on the Capibaribe River, known as the waterway that has earned Recife the title of the Brazilian Venice.
Next, we will proceed to Praça Rio Branco or Marco Zero to discuss its historical significance as the city’s foundational point.
Following this, we will take a guided tour of the main attractions in Recife, including a walk along Rua dos Judeus, viewing the Kahal Zur Israel Synagogue, visiting the Embassy of Giant Puppets, exploring the House of Culture, and examining the ruins of the Open-Air Museum.
We will then depart for Olinda, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we can either stroll through the old town or walk up to the Alto da Sé for a panoramic view of the city and its main monuments, including the churches of Sé and Misericórdia.
We will conclude the tour and return you to your hotel between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.

This tour includes pickup from hotels in the following areas of Porto de Galinhas: Muro Alto, Praia do Cupe, Maracaípe, and central Porto de Galinhas. If your accommodation is not in one of these areas, we will contact you to arrange an alternative meeting point.
