If you're in Iquique and want to relax, you'll enjoy our day trip to Mamiña. You will experience hot springs and mud baths in a scenic setting.

Day Trip Details

Following pickup at the designated time from your hotel in Iquique, we will head east to Mamiña, a town in Chile's Tarapacá region, known for its invigorating hot springs.

During the journey, we will cross a vast desert landscape featuring candelabra cacti at the base of reddish hills. Upon arrival in Mamiña, we will participate in a guided tour of the village, exploring the streets, liparite stone buildings, and the main square, including a visit to the 1632 church.

Throughout our visit, we’ll explore the town's Quechua roots and centuries-old customs. Following the village tour, we will head to the Chinese mud hot springs for a relaxing dip and skin exfoliation. Lunch will consist of three dishes featuring local gastronomy at a nearby restaurant.

After lunch, we'll visit a cheese factory on the outskirts and then proceed to the Ipla Hot Springs, a thalassotherapy centre known for open-air pools with water temperatures ranging from 40 to 45 degrees, which possess therapeutic properties to relieve muscle and joint pain.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Iquique, concluding the trip in a total of 10 hours.
