If you're in Iquique and want to forget about the stresses of a busy life, you'll love our day trip to Mamiña! You'll relax in the hot springs and mud baths while admiring the picturesque scenery.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at the designated time from your hotel in Iquique and set off eastbound for Mamiña, known for its invigorating hot springs.

On our way, we'll cross a vast desert landscape of candelabra cacti at the foot of reddish hills. Upon arrival in Mamiña, we'll take a guided tour of the village, walking through the streets, admiring the liparite stone buildings, and pausing at the main square and church built in 1632.

During our tour, we'll learn about its Quechua roots and centuries-old customs. We will then visit the Chinese mud hot springs for a relaxing dip and skin exfoliation. Following this, a meal featuring local gastronomy will be served at a nearby restaurant.

After lunch, we will visit a cheese factory on the outskirts and proceed to the Ipla Hot Springs. This thalassotherapy centre features open-air pools with water temperatures between 40 and 45 degrees, known for their therapeutic properties that help relieve muscle and joint pain.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Iquique, with a total trip duration of 10 hours.
