Want to explore the Peruvian Amazon? Join us on this 2, 3, 4, or 5-day tour along the Momon River from Iquitos, offering an opportunity to uncover the natural wonders and indigenous communities in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Description

Day 1

We will collect you at 9 am from your hotel in Iquitos or the airport and set out for the river port. The boat journey along the Amazon will begin with a nature reserve stop to see the Victoria Regia and an animal sanctuary hosting anacondas, boas, toucans, and monkeys. We will then reach a riverside camp for an overnight stay, with lunch served at the lodge. A jungle trek to meet the Boras tribe is planned, followed by dinner and a night hike to observe nocturnal birds.

Day 2

At dawn, a bird-watching tour will be conducted, followed by breakfast. We will explore the Nanay, Amazon, and Itaya rivers, stopping at a local community to see a 70-meter sequoia tree. After lunch at the campsite, we will go piranha fishing. The tour concludes with a transfer to your hotel or the airport by 5 pm.

3-Day Tour

The 3-day option follows the same itinerary for the first two days. On the third day, after bird-watching and breakfast, we will sail to the community of Padrecocha to visit its butterfly farm, returning for lunch. Depending on conditions, either kayaking on the Momon River or a visit to the San Andres community will occur before returning to Iquitos by 5 pm.

4-Day Tour + Excursion to Belen

This tour follows the first three days of the previous itinerary. On the fourth day, we will travel to Belen, explore its canals, have lunch at the campsite, and visit the San Andres community before returning to Iquitos by 5 pm.

4-Day Tour + Iquitos Tour

Following the same itinerary as the previous option, after breakfast on the fourth day, we'll visit Bellavista port for a sightseeing tour of Iquitos, including significant sites. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to Iquitos by around 5 pm.

5-Day Tour

The 5-day tour mirrors the previous options. It includes the first three days, the excursion to Belen, and the Iquitos tour on the final day.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be at the Amazon Camp Lodge, including meals. The camp offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms.

Prices are based on double occupancy per person, and children under 5 can join for free when sharing with an adult.

Flights

For arrivals in Iquitos by plane, provide your airline, flight number, and arrival time (by 9 am). For transfers back to Iquitos Airport, include your airline, flight number, and departure time (by 5 pm).
