3 or 4-Day Yanamono Forest Tour

Day 1: Iquitos - Yanamono Forest

Welcome to Iquitos! We'll pick you up and head to the port of Iquitos to board a boat to the Yanamono Forest.

After arriving at the lodge, we'll visit Monkey Island, a rescue center for primates. Following this, we'll return for lunch and take a hike through the Yanamono forest, learning about its biodiversity. At sunset, we'll sail down the Amazon River to observe nocturnal fauna before resting at the lodge.

Day 2: Yanamono Forest

The second day begins with an early morning bird watching tour. After breakfast, we'll visit an Indigenous Amazonian community to learn about their culture and traditional techniques. We'll enjoy a typical meal and go fishing in the Amazon River, followed by a search for pink dolphins. The day ends with a stroll through the forest and dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Yanamono Forest - Iquitos

On our last day, we'll have breakfast and then visit the Victoria Regia water lilies on a boat. After this, we'll return to Iquitos, concluding the 3-day tour at the airport.

4 Day Tour

You can extend your experience to a 4-day tour, with the fourth day dedicated to a canoe trip along the Amazon River.

Accommodation

In both tours, we stay at the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge with full board. The lodge offers rustic-style rooms with high ceilings, a private bathroom, and terraces. Facilities include a swimming pool, a solarium area, and a large dining room.

Note about flights

Outbound flight Lima - Iquitos: arrival before 9 am.Return flight Iquitos - Lima: departure after 6 pm.

If you don't adhere to these schedules, an extra boat transfer service of 180USD per person will be required. These recommendations don't apply if you stay overnight in Iquitos before or after the tour.
