3 or 4-Day Yanamono Forest Tour

Day 1: Iquitos - Yanamono Forest

On your arrival in Iquitos, a pickup from the airport will take you to the port. You will board a boat that takes you to the Yanamono Forest lodge. After settling in, visit Isla de los Monos, a rescue center for primates. Following lunch at the lodge, embark on a hike through the Yanamono forest to learn about local biodiversity. End the day with a sunset sail down the Amazon River, observing nocturnal wildlife.

Day 2: Yanamono Forest

Your second day begins with an early morning bird watching tour, followed by breakfast at the lodge. Visit a community of Indigenous Amazonian Peoples to learn about their traditions and crafts. After a typical meal, fish in the Amazon River, and search for pink dolphins. Complete the day with an evening stroll through the forest before dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Yanamono Forest - Iquitos

Have breakfast and then go on an excursion to see the Victoria Regia water lilies, an important icon of the Amazon. After this, return to Iquitos, concluding the 3-day tour with a transfer to the airport.

4 Day Tour

Extend your experience with a 4-day tour, which includes a canoe trip along the Amazon River on the fourth day.

Accommodation

All tours include accommodation at the Heliconia Amazon River Lodge with full board. The lodge features rustic-style rooms, private bathrooms, and amenities such as a swimming pool and dining room.

Note about flights

For flights:

Outbound flight Lima - Iquitos: arrive by 9 am.Return flight Iquitos - Lima: depart after 6 pm.

Otherwise, an extra boat transfer of 180 USD per person is required. These timing guidelines do not apply if you stay overnight in Iquitos before or after the tour.
