3 or 4-Day Yanamono Forest Tour

Day 1: Iquitos - Yanamono Forest

Upon arrival in Iquitos, you will be picked up at the airport and taken to the port to board a boat to the Yanamono Forest. After checking in at the lodge, you will visit Isla de los Monos, a rescue center for primates. After lunch, you will hike through the forest to learn about its biodiversity and take photos. In the evening, you will sail down the Amazon River at dusk to experience the tranquility of the forest, then return to the lodge for rest.

Day 2: Yanamono Forest

The second day begins with an early morning birdwatching tour. After breakfast, you will visit an Indigenous Amazonian community to learn about their lifestyle and culture. Following lunch, you will go fishing in the Amazon River and search for pink dolphins before taking an evening stroll through the forest. Dinner will conclude the day at the lodge.

Day 3: Yanamono Forest - Iquitos

On the last day, you will have breakfast before heading out to see the Victoria Regia water lilies. This experience will be followed by your return trip to Iquitos where the 3-day tour concludes at the airport.

4-Day Tour

You can extend your experience to a 4-day tour, which includes a canoe trip along the Amazon River on the fourth day.

Accommodation

Both tours include accommodation at Heliconia Amazon River Lodge with full board, offering rustic-style rooms with amenities such as private bathrooms and terraces with hammocks, as well as a swimming pool and large dining area.

Note about flights

Recommended flight schedules are as follows:

Outbound flight Lima - Iquitos: arrive before 9 am.Return flight Iquitos - Lima: depart after 6 pm.

Flights outside these times will incur an extra boat transfer fee of 180 USD per person. These recommendations do not apply if you stay overnight in Iquitos before or after the tour.
