2-Day Amazon Adventure

Day 1

Your adventure begins as we depart from Iquitos at 9 am, making our way to the banks of the Amazon River, renowned as the largest river globally. We will board a vessel to navigate through the waters spiraling through the lush and vibrant rainforest, the most extensive of its kind. Throughout the journey, you will have the chance to observe a fascinating array of wildlife and flora.

Upon reaching the Nanay River, prepare to be amazed by the dynamic phenomenon of the waters, famous for their ever-changing colors. With a bit of luck, we may be greeted by the charming pink dolphins that call this area home.

Your wildlife exploration continues at the lizard farm, where we will encounter the intriguing piaches, a remarkable fish species that can grow to an impressive length of 10 ft.

At around 1:30 pm, we'll arrive at the Amazon River's shore, where our two-story lodge made from local materials awaits. Once settled, we will replenish our energy with a hearty meal.

By 3 pm, our adventure leads us to visit the Yagua community, who thrive through agriculture, fishing, and hunting. You will learn about their customs, beliefs, and way of life, with our experienced guide ready to answer any queries you might have.

We will return to our lodge around 5 pm for a well-deserved break and dinner. As night falls, join us for an exciting nocturnal walk, where the sounds of birds and insects fill the air.

After our excursion, you'll spend the night immersed in the tranquility of the Amazon jungle.

Day 2

We will rise early to embrace the beauty of the Amazon sunrise at approximately 5 am. Witnessing the gentle hues filter through the dense foliage is an unforgettable experience.

Our morning will be dedicated to birdwatching, where you may spot some of Peru's most extraordinary avian residents, including the striking scarlet macaw.

After this, we will enjoy a tasty breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead. We will then proceed to the serpentarium, a sanctuary housing a variety of snakes, sloths, ocelots, turtles, and parrots. Here, you can also sample some refreshing drinks crafted from local medicinal plants and bark.

We will return to our lodge by 12:30 pm for a brief rest before lunch. At around 2:30 pm, we will embark on a boat journey back to Iquitos, arriving around 4:30 pm.
