Join this tour to discover the customs and traditions of indigenous Amazonian communities by boat from Iquitos. You'll sail on the Amazon and Itaya rivers and learn about their flora and fauna.
Activity Details
At the scheduled time, the group will meet at the pier in Iquitos to board a traditional boat for a visit to indigenous villages of the Amazon. The journey includes navigating along the Itaya River, enjoying views of the surrounding nature, and learning about the jungle landscape characteristic of this region.
After reaching the confluence of the Amazon and Itaya Rivers, we will enter the Amazon jungle, navigating the Nanay River to visit the Bora and Kukama villages. We'll disembark to share experiences with tribe members and learn about their customs and traditions.
The boat journey continues along the shore of Padre Cocha village, with an opportunity to stop at the Pilpintuwasi butterfly farm to observe various butterflies and exotic animals native to the jungle.
Finally, we will return to the pier in Iquitos, concluding the tour 6 to 7 hours later.
