Activity Overview
The adventure begins at the designated time, as participants gather at the Iquitos pier. Here, we will board a traditional vessel that sets the stage for an extraordinary visit to the Amazon's indigenous settlements. This trip promises to be memorable!
Our expedition along the Itaya River offers breathtaking views of the lush natural surroundings. We will delve into the distinctive features of the jungle ecosystem that typifies this area of South America.
Upon reaching the meeting point of the Amazon and Itaya Rivers, we will venture deeper into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. This phase of our journey will see us navigate the Nanay River to visit the Bora and Kukama communities. We’ll disembark to engage with community members and uncover their customs and traditions.
Continuing our boat excursion through the Amazon, we will sail past the Padre Cocha village, making another stop at the Pilpintuwasi butterfly farm. This remarkable spot allows us to witness an array of butterflies and exotic wildlife that inhabit the jungle.
Ultimately, we will return to the pier in Iquitos, concluding our tour approximately 6 to 7 hours later.

To enhance your experience, consider the option that includes both pickup and lunch. In this scenario, you will be collected from your hotel in Iquitos, after which we will participate in the previously described tour, including a visit to the butterfly farm.
