Tour Overview
At the appointed hour, we will gather at the pier located on Iquitos Boulevard. Here, we’ll board a traditional vessel and set off to explore the rich heritage of the Amazon's indigenous populations. An unforgettable experience awaits!
As we cruise along the Itaya River, prepare to bask in the stunning views of the verdant surroundings and delve into the unique characteristics of the jungle environment that defines this South American region.
Upon reaching the junction of the Itaya and Amazon rivers, we will venture into the depths of the Amazon rainforest. Continuing our journey along the Nanay River, we will visit the Bora and Kukama communities. Here, we will step ashore and engage with local tribe members, gaining insights into their ancient practices and way of life. One highlight will be learning about masato, a traditional Amazonian beverage crafted from fermented cassava, a cultural ritual that is sure to intrigue!
As our voyage continues, we will glide past the Padre Cocha community, where you’ll have the opportunity to participate in traditional piranha fishing. Additionally, we will explore the Pílpintuwasi butterfly farm, an ideal setting for observing the rich variety of butterflies and exotic fauna that thrive in the jungle.
Eventually, we will return to the pier in Iquitos, concluding the trip after 6 to 7 hours of exploration.

Pickup Information
For those selecting any option that includes hotel pickup, please be aware that this service is limited to hotels situated in the central area of Iquitos, within a distance of half a kilometer (0.3 miles) from the Plaza de Armas.
If your accommodation is outside this area, you will need to arrive at the meeting point independently.
