Amazon Rainforest 5 Day Tour

Day 1

After hotel pickup in Iquitos, we will travel to our accommodation in the Amazon jungle by boat, stopping to observe local wildlife. Following lunch, we will visit the village of Timicurillo to learn about traditional medicine. In the evening, a night walk in the jungle is optional.

Day 2

We will visit Neyser Island to explore its reptile sanctuary. Next, we will sail to San Juan de Huashalado to see the rescue center "El Encanto de Rony," featuring various wildlife. After a wildlife encounter, we will taste aphrodisiac beverages and medicinal concoctions. The afternoon includes fishing in the Amazon River followed by dinner with local stories.

Day 3

The day begins with an adventure on the Yanayacu River, where we will have the chance to swim with pink Amazon river dolphins. Lunch will be at a local farmer's home, followed by a sunset experience before returning for dinner.

Day 4

For those interested, an optional sunrise walk at 4 am is available. After breakfast, we will take a scenic boat ride to the community of Sinchicuy and visit the Yagua tribe. The day includes a visit to the Morphohuasi butterfly farm with an evening stroll option for those who missed the morning walk.

Day 5

We will sail to Monkey Island to meet the animals and visit a fruit and medicine plantation. After lunch at the lodge, we will return to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

Due to a drought, we will need to walk for about 30 minutes to reach the lodge instead of arriving by boat. Droughts typically last until November.

Accommodation

This tour includes four nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

Pickup

This tour includes pickup from hotels in downtown Iquitos. For accommodations outside this area, a central meeting point will be provided after booking.
