Amazon Rainforest 5 Day Tour

Day 1

We will pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos and embark on a boat trip to our lodge in the Amazon jungle. During the journey, we will stop to observe local wildlife such as piranhas and turtles. After lunch, we will visit the village of Timicurillo to learn about local customs and medicinal plants. After dinner, an optional night walk in the jungle is available.

Day 2

We will visit Neyser Island to explore its reptile sanctuary, where we will see anacondas, monkeys, and sloths. Next, we will sail to San Juan de Huashalado to visit the rescue center "El Encanto de Rony," where various animals are housed. After engaging with the wildlife, we will sample aphrodisiac beverages and medicinal concoctions. In the afternoon, we will fish in the Amazon River and enjoy a sunset, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 3

On this day, we will venture on the Yanayacu River in a traditional canoe to explore the area and possibly swim with pink Amazon river dolphins. Lunch will be at a local farmer's home, followed by a sunset view before returning for dinner.

Day 4

An optional sunrise walk at 4 am is available for early risers. After breakfast, we will take a boat ride to the community of Sinchicuy and visit the Yagua tribe and the San Rafael community. We will also visit the Morphohuasi butterfly farm. An evening stroll will be available for those who missed the sunrise walk.

Day 5

On the final day, we will visit Monkey Island, interact with monkeys, and tour a fruit and medicine plantation. We will return to the lodge for lunch before heading back to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Itinerary Changes

Due to drought conditions, access to the lodge may require a 30-minute walk. Typically, droughts last until November.

Accommodation

This tour includes four nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.

Pickup is available from hotels in downtown Iquitos. For those outside this area, a central meeting point will be shared after booking.
