Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Discover the wild landscapes and native wildlife of the northern Amazon Rainforest on this three-day tour of the Amazon River from Iquitos.

Tour Description

Day 1

On the first day, we meet at Napo number 326, Iquitos, and travel to Bellavista port to board a boat, beginning our adventure on the Amazon River. After reaching our accommodation and enjoying a delicious lunch, we will have free time. In the afternoon, we'll take a walk into the rainforest to visit a local Timicurillo indigenous community to learn about their culture.

Day 2

Starting with breakfast, we will board a boat to Neyser Island and visit an animal sanctuary to learn about native wildlife, including anacondas, monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Next, we will visit El Encanto de Rony rescue centre at the San Juan de Huashalado farm to see various animals, including parrots.

We will then have aphrodisiac drinks like Rompe Calzón and 7 Raíces and try medicinal drinks such as Camú Camú. After lunch, we will fish in the Amazon River and watch the sunset before returning for dinner and stories about mythical tales and legends of the Amazon.

Day 3

On the last day, attendees can opt for a sunrise hike through the jungle starting at 4:30 am. After breakfast, we’ll take a boat trip on the Amazon River to visit Sinchicuy and learn about the locals' handicrafts and fishing methods. We will search for dolphins in the river before returning for lunch and traveling back to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes two nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.
