Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Discover the wild landscapes and native wildlife of the northern Amazon Rainforest on this three-day tour of the Amazon River from Iquitos.

Tour Description

Day 1

On the first day, we will meet at Napo number 326 in Iquitos and proceed to Bellavista port. After boarding the boat, we will sail the Amazon River to our accommodation for a delicious lunch. Relax during your free time before we meet for an afternoon walk into the rainforest to visit a Timicurillo indigenous community and learn about their culture.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will board a boat to Neyser Island and visit an animal sanctuary to see native wildlife, including anacondas, monkeys, sloths, and toucans. Next, we will visit the ¨El Encanto de Rony¨ rescue centre at San Juan de Huashalado farm to see various animals.

The visit continues with tastings of various drinks, including Rompe Calzón, 7 Raíces, Levántate Lázaro, and Espérame en el suelo, as well as some medicinal drinks. After lunch, we will fish in the Amazon River and watch the sunset before returning to the lodge for dinner and tales of the Amazon.

Day 3

On the last day, those interested may join a sunrise hike through the jungle starting at 4:30 am, followed by breakfast. We will take a final boat trip on the Amazon to visit Sinchicuy, learning about local handicrafts and fishing methods, with a chance to see dolphins.

After lunch, we return to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm after three unforgettable days.

Accommodation

This tour includes two nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.
