Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Discover the wild landscapes and native wildlife of the northern Amazon Rainforest on this three-day tour of the Amazon River from Iquitos.

Tour Description

Day 1

On the first day, meet at Napo number 326 in Iquitos at the scheduled time and transfer to Bellavista port to board a boat for our adventure on the Amazon River. After sailing, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge followed by free time to relax. In the afternoon, participate in a walk into the rainforest to visit a Timicurillo indigenous community and learn about their culture before returning for dinner.

Day 2

Begin the day with breakfast before boarding a boat to Neyser Island for a visit to an animal sanctuary to observe wildlife, including anacondas, monkeys, sloths and toucans. Next, travel by small boat to San Juan de Huashalado farm to visit the ¨El Encanto de Rony¨ rescue centre and see various animals. Enjoy aphrodisiac drinks and medicinal drinks such as Camú Camú and copaiba oil. After lunch, fish in the Amazon and watch the sunset, followed by dinner and storytelling about the myths of the Amazon.

Day 3

On the final day, optionally participate in a sunrise hike through the jungle starting at 4:30 am to witness the Amazon at dawn. After breakfast, travel by boat to Sinchicuy, an indigenous community, to learn about their handicraft traditions and fishing methods. Look for dolphins before returning for lunch and departing for Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm after three unforgettable days.

This tour includes two nights' full-board accommodation at the Amazon Queen Lodge.
