Amazon & Ucayali 7-Day Cruise

This itinerary is valid from December to May.

Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta

Pick up from Iquitos airport for lunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and an itinerary briefing. Transfer to Nauta port for evening settling in and dinner, followed by a night boat excursion.

Day 2: Yanayacu de Yacapana - Vista Alegre - Ucayali River

Morning boat ride in Yanayacu de Yacapana reserve to observe local wildlife. Visit Vista Alegre butterfly farm, have lunch, and engage in piranha fishing in the Ucayali River. Dinner with live music follows.

Day 3: Arroyo Marayali - Pahuachiro

Morning boat trip on Arroyo Marayali, followed by breakfast and a stroll through Pahuachiro. Dinner onboard as the sun sets.

Day 4: Nauta

Travel to Nauta by motorbike taxi for local market exploration. Return to the boat for dinner and an evening boat ride.

Day 5: Marañon River - San Regis

Early morning for pink dolphin sightseeing. Free time for relaxation and swimming in the Marañon River, followed by a visit to San Regis for tree planting with a shaman. Dinner in San Regis.

Day 6: Arroyo Shiriyacu - San José de Zarapanga - Kukama - Puerto Prado

Excursion to Arroyo Shiriyacu for piranha fishing, lunch in San José de Zarapanga, and a visit to the Kukama community. Cooking demonstration onboard followed by dinner while touring Puerto Prado.

Day 7: Nauta - Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos

Breakfast as we arrive in Nauta. Visit the Amazon Rescue Centre to see manatees before returning to Iquitos Airport or your hotel.

June to November

From June to November, low water levels will modify the itinerary:

Days 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 remain unchanged.On Day 2, boat trip on the Amazon River pre-breakfast, jungle walk in Ucayali post-lunch, and dinner with live music.Day 3, visit to Vista Alegre and its butterfly farm, piranha fishing, and observing river confluence.

Accommodation

Includes 6 nights' accommodation on a cruiser with full board in your chosen cabin category. The La Perla cruise ship has two decks and an observation deck.
