Tour Details

At the scheduled time, the group will meet at the Iquitos pier to begin this tour of the neighbourhood of Belén, on the shores of the Itaya River.

The tour starts with a visit to the Belén market, where you will learn about local food customs and daily life. Following this, we will walk down the Pasaje Paquito, known for its exotic products and natural medicine.

Depending on the season, you will either embark on a walking tour or a canoe tour along the Amazonian Venice. This area is characterized by traditional wooden houses built on stilts above the water.

On the day of the tour, you can decide if you want to visit another area known for piranha fishing.

After 4 hours, we will return to the starting point and conclude this tour of the neighbourhood of Belén.

The tour is conducted on foot or by canoe, depending on the season, when the Itaya River rises. From November to June, the houses float on the river, and we will sail on a traditional canoe.
