Dare to spend three days in Pacaya Samiria and enjoy a complete Amazon rainforest experience. You will encounter amazing creatures both day and night.

Pacaya Samiria 3 Day Tour

Day 1

After pickup in Iquitos at 8 am, we will board a bus to Nauta. From there, we will travel to the Marañon River for a 3.5-hour boat trip. After arriving at the camp, tents will be set up for the night. A typical Peruvian menu will be provided, including vegetarian options. We will then explore the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, taking another boat trip to Huaylla Lake to observe wildlife such as herons, shanshos, camungos, and pink river dolphins. At night, we will observe tarantulas and listen to nocturnal animal sounds before returning to camp for rest.

Day 2

After breakfast, we head back into Pacaya Samaria National Reserve to set up camp for the night. We will explore the flora and fauna of the jungle, watching for birds like the yellow-crowned parrot and mammals such as sloths and monkeys. The day includes a night boat ride to see caimans, turtles, and anacondas, followed by another night at camp.

Day 3

The final day is dedicated to Indigenous fishing traditions, where we will fish for piranhas. After breakfast, we will enjoy the jungle's exotic birds and landscapes. We then return to camp for a meal before heading back to Nauta and taking a bus to Iquitos.

5-Day Tour

A 5-day tour allows for 2 additional days exploring the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

Accommodation

Accommodation options include a base camp with a private room and a shared bathroom or camping in the jungle, with tents provided. You can choose to spend either 1 or 2 nights at each location.

Pickup point

Pickup from your hotel in Iquitos or Iquitos Airport is included, provided your flight arrives before 12 pm.

Minimum age restriction

The minimum age to participate is 7 years old.

Adventure tour

The 3 or 5-day tour to Pacaya Samiria offers an immersive Amazon experience. Expect limited mobile coverage and private bathroom facilities. Participants should bring mineral water, batteries, a flashlight, mosquito repellent, and enthusiasm for this adventure!
