Pacaya Samiria 3 Day Tour

Dare to spend three days in Pacaya Samiria and enjoy a complete Amazon rainforest experience. You will encounter amazing creatures both day and night.

Pacaya Samiria 3 Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup in Iquitos at 8 am, followed by a bus ride to Nauta. From there, we will travel on the Marañon River for 3.5 hours by boat. After our arrival at camp and setting up tents, we will enjoy a typical Peruvian menu, with options for various dietary preferences. We will take a boat trip to Huaylla Lake, observing wildlife such as herons and pink river dolphins. After dinner, we will have a night excursion to see nocturnal animals and return to camp for the night.

Day 2

Following breakfast at camp, we will head back into the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve to set up another camp. We will observe flora and fauna, including birds like the yellow-crowned parrot, sloths, and monkeys. After dinner, we will have a night boat ride to see caimans and anacondas, returning to camp for the night.

Day 3

The final day is dedicated to Indigenous fishing traditions, including piranha fishing. After breakfast at camp, we will explore the jungle again. After lunch, we will take a boat back to Nauta, followed by a bus ride back to Iquitos.

5-Day Tour

A 5-day tour is available for those wanting to explore Pacaya Samiria National Reserve for an additional two days.

Accommodation

Accommodation options include a private room with shared bathroom in the base camp or camping in the jungle, with tents provided. Options for 1 or 2 nights at each location or 2 to 4 nights in the same accommodation are available.

Pickup point

Pickup is included from hotels in Iquitos or Iquitos Airport for flights arriving before 12 pm.

Minimum age restriction

The minimum age for participation is 7 years old.

Adventure tour
