Pacaya Samiria 3 Day Tour

Day 1

After picking you up in Iquitos at 8 am, we will travel by bus to Nauta. There, we will proceed to the Marañon River for a 3.5-hour boat trip. Once the journey ends, we will set up our camp for the night. A typical Peruvian menu will be offered, with vegetarian options available. Later, we will take another boat trip to Huaylla lake, where we might spot wildlife such as herons, shanshos, camungos, and pink river dolphins. At night, we will observe tarantulas and listen to nocturnal animals before resting at the camp.

Day 2

After breakfast, we return to the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve to set up camp for the night. We will explore the flora and fauna of the jungle, possibly spotting birds like the yellow-crowned parrot and mammals such as sloths and monkeys. The day will conclude with a night boat ride to observe caimans, turtles, and anacondas in their natural habitat before returning to the camp.

Day 3

The final day will focus on Indigenous fishing traditions, including fishing for piranhas. After breakfast, we will enjoy the jungle's wildlife. After a meal at the camp, we will travel back to Nauta, and then take a bus to Iquitos.

5-Day Tour

A 5-day tour is available for those wanting to explore the Amazon rainforest for two additional days.

Accommodation

Accommodation options include staying at the base camp in a private room with a shared bathroom or camping in the jungle. You may choose to spend 1 or 2 nights in each location or 2 to 4 nights in the same accommodation.

Pickup point

Pickup is included from your hotel in Iquitos or Iquitos Airport, provided your flight arrives before 12 pm.

Minimum age restriction

The minimum age to participate in this activity is 7 years.

Adventure tour
