South Amazonia 4-Day Trip with Bird Spotting

Day 1

At 9:15 am, pickup from your hotel in Iquitos in a minibus will take you to the port. A boat trip through the Amazon will then take you to the lodge. After settling in and enjoying a meal, a walk will follow to identify various plants essential for local birds. The evening will be spent with dinner amid the sounds of nature.

Day 2

Early morning starts with a search for the endangered Crax Globulosa. Following lunch, a boat ride on the Yanayacu River will occur, concluding with sunset views over a lagoon. Dinner will precede a jungle venture to see night birds.

Day 3

After breakfast, if water levels permit, the group will explore deep into the southern Peruvian Amazon to observe wildlife, including monkeys and various birds. Lunch will be followed by visits to the Corrientillo lagoon, with another night walk planned.

Day 4

In the morning, depart for the Amazon islands to observe endemic birds, with breakfast aboard the boat. After lunch, return to Iquitos, expected by approximately 4 pm.

Tour Accommodation

This tour includes 3 nights full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge, featuring private bathrooms and terraces with river views.

Flight Schedule

Flight schedules can be adjusted for late pickups at a supplement. It is recommended to arrive during daylight, with the maximum departure time being 3 pm.
