Yanayacu River 3, 4 or 5-Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup from your hotel in Iquitos at 9 am. Travel to the port (90 minutes), where a small boat will transfer us to the lodge for the next two nights. After settling in, enjoy a buffet lunch and explore the area's flora. Witness the sunset over a jungle lagoon, followed by dinner and a night boat trip to observe exotic birds, mammals, and alligators.

Day 2

After breakfast, take a boat trip to see the pink dolphins and the Victoria Regia water plant. After lunch at the lodge, choose to fish for piranhas in the lagoons. Visit the community of San Juan de Yanayacu to learn about their customs, followed by dinner and a search for tarantulas and frogs.

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast and boat to the Sapote lagoon for bird watching, then see sloth bears at the Moena lagoon. Return to camp for lunch before heading back to Iquitos. Arrival at the port, with bus transfer back to your hotel or the airport from 4 pm onwards.

4-day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary as the 3-day tour with a guided botany tour on the third afternoon. On the fourth day, visit the Casha Lagoon to see more birds and monkeys, followed by buffet lunch and return to Iquitos.

5-day Tour

Includes activities from previous tours with sightings of the Hoatzin or shansho bird, white monkeys, and howler monkeys, along with a visit to the Juanachi lagoon.

Accommodation

This tour includes 2, 3, or 4 nights full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge, featuring a private bathroom and terrace with hammocks.

Flight Times

If your flight time doesn't align with the schedule, we can adjust pickup times for a fee. Daylight travel is preferable; the latest departure is at 3 pm.
