Yanayacu River 3, 4 or 5-Day Tour

Day 1

Pickup from your hotel in Iquitos at 9 am. Travel by minibus to the port, approximately 90 minutes away. A small boat will take you to the lodge for the next two nights. After lunch, explore the humid flora, witness the sunset over a jungle lagoon, and enjoy dinner. Participate in a night boat trip to see exotic birds, mammals, and alligators.

Day 2

After breakfast, sail to see pink dolphins and the Victoria Regia water plant. Lunch at the lodge followed by an option to fish for piranhas in nearby lagoons. Visit the community of San Juan de Yanayacu for cultural insights, and enjoy dinner before a night excursion to find tarantulas and giant frogs.

Day 3

After breakfast, depart for Sapote lagoon for birdwatching, then visit Moena lagoon to see sloth bears. Lunch at the camp before returning to Iquitos. Pickup from the port to your hotel or airport from 4 pm onwards.

4-day Tour

This option follows the same itinerary as the 3-day tour. The third day's afternoon will focus on a guided botany tour. On the fourth day, visit Casha Lagoon for more bird and monkey sightings, followed by a buffet lunch before returning to Iquitos.

5-day Tour

This tour includes all activities from previous options, with additional sightings of the Hoatzin bird, white monkeys, and howler monkeys, plus a trip to Juanachi lagoon.

Accommodation

Includes 2, 3, or 4 nights of full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge with a private bathroom and a terrace with hammocks facing the river.

Flight Times

Flight pickup adaption is available for late arrivals with a supplement. Latest departure time is 3 pm to ensure daylight travel on the river.
