Yanayacu River 6-day Trip. Day 1. Pick up at your hotel in Iquitos at 9:15 am. Transfer to the city port for a boat trip to the camp. Enjoy a buffet lunch, followed by a nature walk and a sunset by the lagoon.

Yanayacu River 6-day Trip
Day 1
Pick up at your hotel in Iquitos at 9:15 am. Transfer to the city port for a boat trip to the camp. Enjoy a buffet lunch, followed by a nature walk and a sunset by the lagoon. After dinner, we will search for alligators aboard a boat.
Day 2
After breakfast, visit Sapote lagoon and Moena lagoon to observe birds, sloths, and monkeys. Lunch will be followed by an option to fish for piranhas in the lagoons. Later, observe the hoatzin and enjoy dinner before searching for tarantulas and frogs.
Day 3
Discover the pink dolphin and iguanas. Visit the Victoria Regia water plant, followed by a boat trip to Juanachi Lagoon for birdwatching. Enjoy dinner and a night tour.
Day 4
After breakfast, campers can spend a day in a remote area of the rainforest with a picnic lunch. Participants can fish for dinner.
Day 5
Campers will have a picnic breakfast before returning to base camp for lunch. Visit San Juan de Yanayacu to learn about riverbank life and return to cabins for a snack, followed by a night walk to see giant frogs.
Day 6
Explore Sapote Lagoon for birdwatching and visit Moena Lagoon to see sloths. A buffet lunch follows before returning to Iquitos, arriving around 4 pm.
Accommodation
The tour includes 4 nights of full board accommodation in a double room at Muyuna Amazon Lodge and one night camping. Option to spend all 5 nights at the lodge. Camping cabins have private bathrooms and a terrace with hammocks.
Flight Times
If your flight does not coincide with the schedule, we can adjust pickup time for a supplement. Maximum departure time is 3 pm for optimal river visibility.
