Activity Details
Silk Road traders traversed the challenging terrain of the Maranjab Desert. At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Kashan and head north to the Maranjab Desert.
During the journey along Maranjab Road, you will see a sandy landscape characterized by dunes, rocks, and a large salt lake. We will visit the Maranjab Caravanserai, a 17th-century structure that served as a refuge for caravans crossing the desert.
We will take a break near the Caravanserai to recharge, and you may bring a picnic lunch. Following the break, we will proceed towards the salt island nestled among the dunes, exploring the unique conditions that allow life to exist here.
After observing the sunset over the dunes of the Maranjab Desert, we will return to your hotel in Kashan at 5 pm.
