Activity Details
Silk Road traders had to cross the challenging terrain of the Maranjab Desert. At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Kashan and head northbound to the extensive lands of the Maranjab Desert.
On the journey along Maranjab Road, we will admire the sandy landscape with dunes, rocks, and a large salt lake. We will stop at the Maranjab Caravanserai, a 17th-century building that served as refuge for caravans crossing the desert during trade journeys.
We will rest near the Caravanserai and recommend bringing a picnic lunch. The safari will continue towards the salt island that emerges among the dunes. We will explore the shores to see what life can survive in these conditions.
After watching the afternoon sun color the dunes, we will return to your hotel in Kashan at 5 pm.
