Isla Cristina Free Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Paseo de las Palmeras, by the bench dedicated to reading. The tour will begin with a discussion of the city's origins in 1755, which was created after an earthquake.
Next, we'll proceed to the North Roundabout to understand the vital role of women in the island's development. Following this, we'll visit the fishing port, recognized as the second most important in Spain, and explore the history of British Pirates in the region.
We will also visit the Carnaval Museum, highlighting the island's most significant festival. Our tour continues to the Paseo de las Flores, where we will see the old Church, Town Hall, and Blas Infante's House, regarded as the Father of Andalusianism.
We will then head to Nuestra Señora de los Dolores Church for panoramic views from its bell tower. Finally, we'll explore the modern area of the city, viewing the Monument to the Sailor, Horacio Noguera Theatre, and Central Park.
After a duration of 2 hours, we will conclude this free walking tour back at the starting point.
