On this private tour to Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau, and Ana Te Pahu, we will explore significant sites on Easter Island.

Description

After picking you up from your accommodation at the indicated time, we will begin our journey visiting Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau, and Ana Te Pahu. This route includes three major attractions on the island.

We will start by entering the Ana Te Pahu, a cave approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) long. These ancient caves served as a refuge for the early inhabitants of Rapa Nui, the island's native name. We will discover cave paintings and protected areas while learning about the history of Easter Island.

Next, we will visit Ahu Akivi, a sacred site housing 7 Moai sculptures, believed to honor the explorers from the island of Hiva who discovered Rapa Nui. We will share the story of the island's early inhabitants.

We will proceed to Puna Pau, a small crater known for crafting the pukaos, the headdresses made of volcanic rock that adorn some Moai. We will discuss the techniques used to create these distinctive pieces.

After a total duration of 3-5 hours, we will return you to your hotel.
