On this private tour to Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau, and Ana Te Pahu, we'll explore significant attractions on Easter Island.

Description

Following pickup from your accommodation at the scheduled time, we'll visit Ahu Akivi, Puna Pau, and Ana Te Pahu. Our journey begins in the Rapa Nui Caves, specifically the Ana Te Pahu, a cave approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 miles) long.

These caves served as refuge and habitat for the ancient Rapa Nui inhabitants. This is the native name of the island. Here, cave paintings and protected areas showcase Easter Island's rich history.

Next, we will visit Ahu Akivi, a sacred site featuring 7 Moai sculptures, which honor the explorers who discovered Rapa Nui from the island of Hiva. Insights about the first inhabitants will be provided.

We will proceed to Puna Pau, a small crater known for the forging of pukaos, the headdresses formed from volcanic rock that adorn some Moai. You will learn about the ancestral techniques used to create these distinct pieces.

The entire tour lasts between 3 to 5 hours, after which you will be returned to your hotel.
