Activity Details

After collecting you from your hotel at the indicated time, we'll start our tour of Easter Island traveling along the East coast.

First, we visit Ahu Akahanga, where you'll see the remains of a settlement and the tomb of King Hotu Matu'a. Your guide will share the story of this king.

Next, we stop at Ahu Tongariki, the largest sanctuary on the island. The 15 moai were destroyed during the tribal wars of the 18th century and later restored by the Chilean government.

We then travel to the volcanic crater of Rano Raraku, the quarry where most moai were sculpted. We'll see unfinished moai, including 'El Gigante,' which would have measured 70 feet high.

We'll take a break for lunch in this setting, surrounded by over 390 moai statues at Rano Raraku. You can bring your own food for a picnic.

After lunch, we'll visit the smaller sanctuary of Ahu Te Pito Kura before reaching Anakena beach to admire the moai of Ahu Nau Nau. Finally, after a seven-hour route, we'll return to your hotel.
