Orongo & Rano Kau Volcano Trip

At the indicated time, we'll collect you from your hotel and start a journey back to ancient times. The first stop is at Vinapu, an archaeological site with intricately carved stones and Ahu stone platforms resembling Inca constructions.

Next, we'll proceed to the Rano Kau volcano. We will walk along the sides and reach the top, where a huge crater contains one of the three freshwater lakes of Easter Island. From here, enjoy views of the landscape and the three islets where the Rapa Nui people performed an important religious ceremony.

Near Rano Kau, you'll find the ruins of Orongo, where oval-shaped stone statues overlook the ocean. The site also features petroglyphs depicting the “birdmen” and their annual egg-retrieving race.

By the end of the tour, you'll have discovered the legends and traditions of Easter Island, concluding the excursion 3 hours after pickup.
