Istanbul Mosque Tour

We'll meet at the German Fountain in Sultanahmet at the scheduled time to begin our tour of the mosques of Istanbul. Our first stop will be Hagia Sophia, built in the 6th century AD by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. This landmark has served as an Orthodox cathedral, a Catholic church, a mosque, and a museum. Your guide will provide an overview of the exterior before you enter with an audio guide for a self-paced tour.

Next, we will visit the Blue Mosque, or Sultan Ahmed Mosque, renowned for its stunning tiles and geometric patterns. It is often regarded as a prime example of Ottoman architecture.

Our final destination will be the Suleymaniye Mosque, the largest mosque in Istanbul for over 450 years, designed by the chief Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan during the reigns of significant sultans.

After a 4-hour tour of Istanbul's mosques, we will conclude at the meeting point.
