Botuvera Caves Tour

Would you like to visit the largest caves in the south of Brazil? With this excursion to the Botuvera Caves, departing from Itapema, you'll be able to explore its passages that reach up to 20 metres (65 ft) in height.

At 7:30 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Itapema to go to the Botuverá Caves Park, located in the municipality of Ourinho. There we'll visit its famous caves, the largest in the south of Brazil.

Once gathered at the park, we'll follow the guide and enter through the only entrance that will take us to the heart of the earth. We will slowly walk through these formations, which are 1200 metres long (3937 feet) and have a labyrinth of passages and cavities created by nature itself. They are estimated to be 65 million years old.

As we explore the cave we'll see corridors that are up to 20 metres high (65 feet). We'll also see stalactites, stalagmites, and calcite sculptures.

Finally, we'll surface and head back to Itapema, with drop-off at your hotels at 1:30 pm.
