Piran, Portorož & Izola Excursion

Starting with your hotel pickup in Izola at 9 am, our journey will lead us to three renowned locations along the Slovenian coastline: Piran, Portorož, and Izola.

Our first stop will be Piran, a historic port town often celebrated as one of Slovenia's hidden gems. Recognized as a cultural-historical landmark, Piran boasts numerous attractions, such as its ancient fortifications and the impressive Gothic architecture inspired by Venetian design.

During the exploration of Piran, we will visit important sites, including the maritime museum, the birthplace of Tartini, the Baroque House, and Apollonio Palace. A climb up to a nearby hill will reward us with breathtaking panoramas of the bay.

Once back in the minibus, we will proceed along the coast to Portorož. Here, a guided tour will unveil the elegance of the town, featuring grand structures erected between the 13th and 19th centuries. Throughout our visit, we will uncover the rich history behind what was once a favored retreat for European nobility.

Our last destination will be Izola, where we will meander through its lovely streets and learn about the close-knit relationship between the community and the sea. Interestingly, Izola was once an island; we will share how the town has transformed since the days of the Roman Empire.

The excursion to Piran, Portorož, and Izola will conclude with a return to your hotel by 2 pm.
