Postojna Cave + Predjama Castle Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Izola at 9 am and drive Northeast to reach the Postojna Cave. The cave is recognized for its beauty. After about an hour, we will arrive and enter this karst cave. You will admire various rock formations including stalagmites that are 5 meters long.
To enhance the visit, we will explore the cave on a train, accessing areas not reachable on foot, where we will see Murano glass chandeliers and a ballroom. A highlight of this visit is the olms, also known as 'dragon's offspring'.
Our next destination is Predjama Castle, a medieval fortress located on a cliff. We will explore this castle rich in legends and stories, including the tale of Erasmus of Predjama, known as the Slovenian Robin Hood.
After touring the castle, we will return to Izola, dropping you off at your hotel around 2 pm, concluding the tour.
