Postojna Cave + Predjama Castle Tour

On this tour to the Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, you'll discover two significant Slovenian sites filled with legends and unique geological formations.

Postojna Cave + Predjama Castle Tour

Pickup will be at your hotel in Izola at 9 am, followed by a drive northeast across the Slovenian border to the Postojna Cave, recognized globally for its natural beauty.

After approximately one hour of travel, we will arrive at Postojna and enter the karst cave. Inside, we will observe various rock formations, including impressive stalagmites that are 5 meters long.

The visit will be enhanced by a short train ride through parts of the cave not accessible by foot, where you will see Murano glass chandeliers and a ballroom. We will also look for the olms, known as the 'dragon's offspring'.

Our next destination will be Predjama Castle, a striking Slovenian medieval fortress built into a cliff. Here, we will explore the castle and learn about legends such as that of Erasmus of Predjama, known as the Slovenian Robin Hood.

After the castle visit, we will return to Izola and drop you off at your hotel around 2 pm, concluding the tour.
