Socerb, Hrastovlje & Marezige Excursion

Starting from your accommodation in Izola at 9 am, we will embark on a journey towards Socerb, a village rich in history and captivating narratives.

After a brief journey of about 20 minutes, we will arrive in Socerb and explore the grounds of its castle, a key historical feature of the area. This medieval castle is perched on the highest elevation of the village and provides a stunning panoramic view of the Gulf of Trieste.

Our exploration of Socerb continues as we venture into the Holy Cave, an underground sanctuary where we will uncover the history surrounding Saint Servulus.

Next, we head to Hrastovlje. Here, we will visit the Church of the Holy Trinity, a remarkable structure from the 13th century, encased by impressive walls. Within its confines, you will find the renowned fresco depicting the Danse Macabre, or “Dance of Death”.

Afterward, we will board the minibus for our final destination of the day: Marezige. This serene locale is ideal for immersing oneself in Slovenia's rich wine and olive cultivation traditions.
