Tour of Cantona and Alchichica Lagoon
Your adventure begins at 9 am, with our team picking you up from your accommodation in Puebla for a two-hour drive to the Cantona archaeological site.
Upon arrival, you will traverse the courtyards, dwellings, activity areas, and the renowned Plaza de la Fertilidad. It is fascinating to note that Cantona emerged as one of the most significant cities following the decline of Teotihuacán, boasting a population of around 80,000!
Once we finish exploring this remarkable site, we'll proceed to Tepeyahualco around 1 pm, providing you with some leisure time to enjoy lunch. Fully recharged, we will move on to a distinctive geological site in Mexico.
Our next stop will be the Alchichica Lagoon, a striking body of alkaline saline water reaching depths of up to 60 meters, located within a volcanic crater. A closer look at the banks reveals carbonate sediments resembling a stunning coral reef — an absolute marvel!
Following our memorable visit, we will travel back to Puebla, returning to your hotel by 5 pm.
