You'll be picked up from your hotel in Jaco on the morning of your tour and head north towards Carara National Park, part of the Central Pacific Conservation Area that protects the region's natural landscapes and wildlife.
Upon arrival in Carara, you'll explore the biodiverse rainforest with four types of forest providing dense cover across the park.
Carara is notable for birdwatching, hosting over 400 species, including the endangered scarlet macaws, which have the largest remaining population in the country.
As you traverse the routes through Carara National Park, whose name means "River of Lizards" in the indigenous Huetar language, you'll have the chance to spot various reptiles, American crocodiles, musk hogs, sloths, and howler monkeys.
