Carara National Park Tour Itinerary
On the morning of your tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in Jaco and travel north to Carara National Park, part of the Central Pacific Conservation Area.
Upon arrival at Carara, you will explore the diverse rainforest that features four types of forest. The park is home to over 400 species of birds, including the endangered scarlet macaws, which have their largest population in this region.
As you navigate the trails in Carara National Park, named "River of Lizards" in the Huetar language, you may spot various wildlife, including American crocodiles, musk hogs, sloths, and howler monkeys.
