Satanic rituals or accidental deaths? The crimes of Jaén raise many unanswered questions. Discover them, if you dare, with this night walk through its beautiful old town.
Jaén Murder Mystery Tour
On 13th July 2016, at 3:30 am, a civilian alerted authorities of a neighbor's cries of "Come here, Satan, for I am your brother." Upon arrival at the scene, in front of Jaén's cathedral, the National Police found a disturbing scene: a man, approximately 30 years old, deceased and in an unusual condition, details of which will be revealed during the tour.
The tour will commence at the entrance to Jaén Cathedral, where we will learn about the story of the mysterious corpse found there. Theories regarding his death range from satanic rituals to eerie similarities with a crime from "The Da Vinci Code". The topic was even discussed on the Fourth Millennium program, and we will present our own theory during the tour.
Additionally, we will explore historical crimes in the city, including the murder of Constable Don Miguel Lucas de Iranzo on 21st March 1473, while he was praying in the Main Chapel of the cathedral. In retaliation for his murder, King Henry IV of Castile ordered that certain local rulers be hanged from their windows.
After discussing other enigmatic crimes committed in Jaén, the tour will conclude.
