After being picked up from your hotel in Jaipur, you will commence a two-hour drive to the village of Abhaneri. The site features medieval architecture that reflects the history of the Rajputs, who dominated Rajasthan between the 6th and 12th centuries.

Your first stop will be the Chand Baori in Abhaneri, one of the largest and deepest stepwells in India. It consists of 3,500 narrow steps descending approximately 100 feet (30 m) to a well that has served public baths for over a thousand years. These structures were vital for utilizing monsoon water during dry seasons. You will learn about the ancient construction techniques employed by the Rajputs.

Next, you will visit the Harshat Mata Temple, built in the 7th and 8th centuries. Although it suffered damage in the 10th century, it remains an important example of ancient Indian architecture. The temple features elaborately carved stone sculptures that convey stories related to Hindu religion and culture.

After your tour, you will have the opportunity to experience typical Indian cuisine at a local restaurant (meal not included) before returning to your hotel in Jaipur.
