Are you in Jaipur and eager to explore the art of traditional Indian printmaking? This hands-on workshop lets you dive into age-old techniques, crafting your own unique designs on fabric.

Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Jaipur and head to a traditional printmaking studio. You can bring a garment to print, or we will provide fabric.

Upon arrival, you'll receive all necessary materials: fabrics, dyes, tools, and stencils. The workshop covers the basics of traditional Indian printmaking, dating back several centuries, focusing on the use of natural dyes extracted from plants and minerals essential for the process. This is a reflection of the area's culture and history.

During the session, you'll try various stamping techniques, including block stamping with carved wooden blocks and silkscreen printing for creating intricate patterns. You can also use stencils for customized designs and create your own using drawing, painting, and digital design techniques.

After 2 creative hours, we’ll return you to your hotel with a personalized piece and a deeper appreciation for Jaipur’s textile heritage.
