Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Jaipur and head to a traditional printmaking studio. You can bring a garment to print, or we’ll provide fabric.

In the workshop, you'll receive all necessary materials: fabrics, dyes, tools, and stencils. You'll learn the basics of traditional Indian printmaking, a technique with several centuries of history, including the use of natural dyes extracted from plants and minerals. This practice reflects the region's rich culture and history.

We will explore various stamping techniques, such as block stamping with carved wooden blocks and silkscreen printing for creating intricate patterns. Additionally, stencils will be used for customized designs, and you will have the opportunity to create your own designs using drawing, painting, and digital design techniques.

After 2 hours, we’ll return you to your hotel with a personalized piece and a greater appreciation for Jaipur’s textile heritage.
