Activity Details

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Jaipur and head to a traditional printmaking studio. Bring a garment to print, or we’ll provide fabric; either way, prepare to bring your imagination to life.

In the workshop, you'll receive all necessary materials: fabrics, dyes, tools, and stencils. We will learn the basics of traditional Indian printmaking, a technique that dates back several centuries, using natural dyes extracted from plants and minerals, essential for the craft. This practice reflects the rich culture and history of the area.

During the session, we will try various stamping techniques, such as block stamping with carved wooden blocks and silkscreen printing for creating intricate patterns.

We will also experiment with stencils for customized designs, and you can create your own designs using drawing, painting, and digital design techniques.

After 2 hours, we’ll return you to your hotel with a personalized piece and a greater appreciation for Jaipur’s textile heritage.
