Hundreds of birds and one of the largest sinkholes in America are the protagonists of this hiking route through the Buraco das Araras. We'll discover a truly unusual natural landscape and see macaws and caimans.

At the agreed time, we'll meet at the BR-267 road, specifically in the area connecting this road with the natural site of Buraco das Araras. This hike will take us to the 127-metre-deep sinkhole (416 feet), the largest in Latin America. We'll explain how this nature reserve was formed while admiring the sandstone landscape.

During the hike, we'll stop at different viewpoints to observe the geological formations and many bird species. The name of this monument in English translates as Macaw Hole, where we can see the macaws with their characteristic striking red plumage.

Accompanied by a guide, we'll learn about the flora and fauna of the Buraco das Araras. If you look closely, you may see some caimans swimming in the lagoon at the bottom of the cliff. After an hour's walk, we'll conclude the visit at the starting point.
