Snorkelling in the Prata and Olho d'Água rivers we will see dozens of fish and aquatic plants in the Mato Grosso do Sul region. Discover why the streams of Bonito are renowned while swimming in crystal clear waters.

Snorkelling in the Prata & Olho d'Água Rivers

We will meet at the agreed time on the BR-267 road, at a tourist estancia next to the Prata river. We will put on our wetsuits and proceed into the riverside forest towards the source of the Olho d'Água river. After gearing up with goggles and snorkels, we will dive into the natural pool of this stream.

The crystal clear waters of the river showcase the high transparency typical of Bonito's currents, attributed to the concentration of limestone and the sun's reflection. We will explain the details as we swim downstream, observing the aquatic flora and fauna.

The route spans 1.7 kilometres (1 mile) leading to the confluence of the Prata and Olho d'Água rivers, where we will experience immediate changes in water temperature, visibility, and ecosystems.

After four hours of activity, we will conclude at the starting point.
