Fresnillo & Plateros Tour

Your journey will commence from your hotel in Zacatecas at a time that suits you, headed towards Fresnillo, known for being the mining center of Mexico.

Upon reaching our destination, we will delve into the lives of prominent figures from Fresnillo, including the esteemed painter Francisco Goitia and the renowned composer Tomás Méndez. Following this, we will explore the Proaño mine, one of the globe’s most lucrative silver mines.

You will discover a variety of captivating insights about the workings of this mine, and once we conclude our exploration, we'll depart Fresnillo to visit the charming town of Plateros. Here, we will explore the Sanctuary of the Niño de Atocha, a significant site of Catholic devotion within Mexico.

The carving of the Santo Niño de Atocha attracts not only pilgrims from Zacatecas and surrounding Mexican states but also international visitors. What is the reason for this deep reverence? This is a question we will answer during our experience!

Eventually, we will make our way back to Zacatecas, with an anticipated return to your hotel approximately four hours after the start of our journey.
