No plans in Zacatecas? Don't miss this excursion to Fresnillo, the mining capital of Mexico. We'll also go to the town of Plateros to admire the revered carving of the Santo Niño de Atocha.

Fresnillo & Plateros Excursion

We'll leave at the time of your choice from your hotel in Zacatecas towards Fresnillo.

Upon arrival, we'll learn about historical figures from Fresnillo, such as painter Francisco Goitia and composer Tomás Méndez. Then we'll enter the Proaño mine, known as one of the most profitable silver mines in the world.

We'll learn various facts about the mine before heading to the nearby town of Plateros. In this town, we'll visit the Sanctuary of the Niño de Atocha, an important center of Catholic veneration in Mexico.

The carving of the Santo Niño de Atocha attracts pilgrims from various states and countries. The reasons for its reverence will be explored during the tour.

Finally, from Plateros, we'll return to Zacatecas, with arrival at your hotel scheduled for four hours after pickup.
