Sombrerete Tour

Are you a film-buff? Then this excursion is not to be missed. We'll leave Zacatecas for the magical town of Sombrerete, where many Mexican films have been made.

Sombrerete Tour

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Zacatecas, and from the capital of the Mexican state, we'll head north towards the 'Pueblo Mágico' Magic Town of Sombrerete.

Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour through the historic centre of Sombrerete. This walking tour will feature outstanding monuments, including the churches of Santa Veracruz, Santo Domingo, San Francisco, and San Juan.

After learning about the history of these churches, you'll have an hour free for lunch in the historic centre of Sombrerete. The local cuisine offers dishes such as asados, moles, enchiladas, and pacholas.

After lunch, we will leave Sombrerete for the Sierra de Órganos National Park. This beautiful area has served as an outdoor set for several Mexican films, including El cavernícola, Gringo viejo, and Bienvenido paisano.

We'll learn about the films shot in Sombrerete and its surroundings. After the tour, we will return to your hotel in Zacatecas, arriving at 5 pm.
