Are you a film-buff? Then this excursion is not to be missed. We'll leave Zacatecas for the magical town of Sombrerete, where many Mexican films have been made.
Sombrerete Tour
We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Zacatecas and head north towards the 'Pueblo Mágico' Magic Town of Sombrerete.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided walking tour through the historic centre of Sombrerete, visiting monuments such as the churches of Santa Veracruz, Santo Domingo, San Francisco, and San Juan.
After the tour, you will have an hour free for lunch in the historic centre of Sombrerete. The cuisine here is diverse, featuring dishes like asados, moles, enchiladas, and pacholas.
Following lunch, we will depart for the Sierra de Órganos National Park, a location where several Mexican films have been shot, including El cavernícola, Gringo viejo, and Bienvenido paisano. We will discuss cinematographic facts about these films and various anecdotes related to the area.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Zacatecas, arriving at approximately 5 pm.
