The Essence of Jerez

Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, founded in 1850 by Pilar Aranda, the first woman winemaker in the Marco de Jerez region, has preserved the artisan essence of the winery. Since 1998, it has produced sherry wines, brandies, and vinegars combining elegance and tradition. Visitors can learn about the meticulous production process of sherry wines aged in American oak casks using the solera and criaderas system. The winery is part of Terraselecta, a company that focuses on unique terroirs and defending native varieties. Currently, Bodegas Álvaro Domecq offers prized wines available in 35 different countries.

Guided Tour

A visit to Bodegas Álvaro Domecq allows exploration of various wineries including Bodega de Oloroso, Bodega Duque de Veragua, Bodega de Vinos Finos, and Bodega del Vinagre with an English-speaking guide. The tour covers numerous products like Fino La Janda, Oloroso Alburejo, Aranda Cream, and Pedro Ximenez Viña 98, as well as details on brandy production and the ageing system for its wines.
