Bodegas Álvaro Domecq, founded in 1850 by Pilar Aranda, the first woman winemaker in the Marco de Jerez, preserves the artisan essence of wine production. The winery has produced sherry wines, brandies, and vinegars since 1998, emphasizing a blend of elegance and tradition. Visitors can learn about the production process, which involves aging in American oak casks using the solera and criaderas system.
Bodegas Álvaro Domecq is part of Terraselecta, a company dedicated to producing wines in Spain's key wine-growing regions. The winery's wines are distributed in 35 different countries.
