Jerez Alcazar & Cathedral Guided Tour Itinerary

After meeting at the designated time in Plaza del Arenal, the walking tour will commence, highlighting significant historic buildings and monuments in the city.

The tour will start with a stroll through Alameda Vieja Park, leading to the Alcazar of Jerez, an important example of Almohad architecture and the oldest monument in the city. Guests will pass through the City Gate to enter the monumental complex of the Alcazar. Here, exploration includes the Patio de Armas, gardens, Arab baths, pharmacy, and the Villavicencio Palace, a baroque structure built on the remains of an earlier Islamic palace.

Next, the group will proceed to Encarnacion Square to visit the Cathedral. Inside, attendees will observe the cathedral's mix of Gothic, Baroque, and Neoclassical styles, including the cathedral museum and sacristies, where the famous La Virgen Niña en oración by Francisco de Zurbarán is located.

The tour concludes with a farewell in Plaza de la Encarnación after two hours of exploration.
