1 or 2-Day Trip to Petra

For those in Jerusalem seeking to explore one of the world's most renowned archaeological sites, a 1 or 2-day excursion to Petra is an unmissable opportunity. Marvel at the Great Temple, the Columned Street, the Djin Blocks, and numerous other exquisite World Heritage landmarks.

1-Day Journey



We'll gather at the designated hour outside the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem. After boarding a comfortable coach, we’ll make our way across the border between Israel and Jordan, heading towards Petra with a travel time of approximately 5 hours on the highway.



Upon arrival, a guided tour of Petra awaits us, famously dubbed the Rose City. This site holds the distinction of being one of the 7 Wonders of the Modern World. Our guide will lead us through the stunning Siq Gorge where we will start to see the remarkable temples and tombs carved into the striking reddish stone cliffs—a breathtaking experience!



We will explore iconic landmarks including the Petra Treasure, the Royal Tombs, the theater, and the Djin Blocks before concluding our tour. Following this exploration, a traditional meal will be served to recharge our energy. After immersing ourselves in Jordan’s remarkable history, we’ll return back across the border to Jerusalem, where we'll reach your hotel around midnight.

2-Day Journey



For those wishing to enjoy a more leisurely exploration of Petra, the 2-day tour is an ideal choice. After our first-day visit, we will head to a local restaurant for dinner followed by an overnight stay at a hotel in Wadi Musa.



The next morning, breakfast will be provided at the hotel before we venture back to the archaeological site. This time, you’ll have the freedom to explore the area at your own pace without a guide.



Use this opportunity to visit sites you may have missed earlier, delving deeper into the customs and traditions of this fascinating ancient Nabataean civilization. Key attractions include the Petra Monastery, the Great Temple, and the Columned Street.



As the day comes to a close, we will gather for our return to the bus, departing back to Jerusalem. Please arrive at the meeting point between midnight and 1 am.

Accommodation



The 2-day tour features one night’s accommodation, including breakfast, at your choice of either the 3-star Venus Hotel Petra or the 4-star Sella Hotel Petra. Both options offer double room accommodations in the heart of Wadi Musa. If these hotels are fully booked, similar alternatives in your selected category will be arranged.
